Lauren Richardson, Florida estate planning attorney

Lauren Richardson

Founding Attorney

A practice built around real families.

Lauren Richardson has spent more than three decades helping Florida families plan for the future, navigate the legal process after a loss, and protect what matters most. Her practice is rooted in Gainesville and reaches every corner of the state — all 67 Florida counties — through a combination of in-person work, phone consultations, and Zoom meetings.

Her work focuses on the moments that matter most to families: building an estate plan that reflects who you are, drafting a prenuptial agreement that starts a marriage on honest terms, guiding a personal representative through probate, and protecting a vulnerable loved one through guardianship or special needs planning.

Lauren believes legal services should feel welcoming, personalized, and approachable — not intimidating or transactional. Whether you have a modest estate or a complex set of business and real estate holdings, you'll work directly with Lauren on a plan that fits your family, not a template.

For matters that require litigation — wrongful death, nursing home abuse, medical malpractice, contested estates — Lauren partners with experienced trial attorneys statewide to build the right team for the case.

How Lauren works with clients

A family law and estate planning practice is, fundamentally, a relationship business. Here's what you can expect when you work with Lauren Richardson Law.

Personalized, Not Templated

Every family is different. Every estate plan, prenup, and probate is built around your specific circumstances — not pulled from a form library.

Plain Language, Real Answers

Florida statutes are written for lawyers. Lauren translates — explaining what the law actually means for your family — in language you can act on.

Welcoming, Without Judgment

No matter your background, family structure, or financial situation, you should feel comfortable asking your attorney anything. That's the standard here.

Statewide Reach, Local Care

Based in Gainesville, Lauren serves clients across all 67 Florida counties — by phone, Zoom, and in person.

Based in Gainesville. Available to families across all of Florida.

Lauren has filed probate cases in more than 50 Florida counties and is available to serve clients in all 67. Most matters can be handled remotely — court appearances are rare in uncontested probate, and estate planning is regularly completed by phone, Zoom, email, and mail.

For clients in the Gainesville area, in-person meetings are always available. For clients elsewhere in Florida, we work with you the way that suits your schedule and comfort.
